This is the 2nd book in a series, but can also be read as a stand alone.

Like always, Ms. Loribelle Hunt gave us a wonderful story, full of excitement, twists, suspense, and imagination. The characters are fully developed, making you able to see the story thru their eyes. Her style is very easy to follow, robust with emotions, and very well composed. It was simple to lose myself in the story, and I absolutely loved it! The book has an unusual concept; the demons are attacking humans and their only way to survive and protect the rest of humanity is to become one of them; become a hybrid - half human, half demon.

The hero from this story, Dupree Jackson, thinks he can protect his beloved, Kara, if she doesn’t become a hybrid and if he doesn’t bond with her. Meanwhile, Kara is doing all she can to make him understand that they are meant to be with each other.

Like I said, the book has a lot of twists and not just from the main characters… there is a rogue that nobody suspects who will betray Kara. And the most important thing is whether or not she will survive after she faces her past.

An outstanding novel, I’ll give it 4.5 stars as it’s one of the best books I’ve ever read. And I’ll search for the third book of the series when it's released, I'm sure it will be as good as this one!
