The Royal Sheikh by Katheryn Lane

Summary:
Clare McKay is a dedicated architect with no time for womanising men. That is, until she accidentally meets Sheikh Rafiq Al Kahil, an Arabian prince, known in the international press as the Playboy Prince. Clare is intent on not falling for his seductive charm, but when he asks her to design a mansion, he presents her with an offer that she can’t refuse. Once she finds herself alone with him in the Arabian desert, how long will she be able to hold out against his advances? And will he be able to cast aside his womanising past for her, as well as a secret engagement to an Arabian Princess?

The title reminds of harlequin novels but it's better and this author should submit her books to Harlequin or something. Yes, it has the usual elements that you get in a Harlequin novel but the author has modernized the elements by giving the female characters jobs that are still considered more male jobs. In fact, I applaud the author as she made the characters relateable while paying attention to the elements.

I have to give this novel 4.5 out of five. The only thing I found wrong was the title as mentioned before. It kind puts me off as it misleading and makes you think it going to be a typical Harlequin novel when it’s not. It was a well written book and I hope to read more by this author in the future.
